Polyscias scutellaria, the shield aralia, or plum aralia, is a tropical shrub or small tree reaching 2–6 meters in height. A native of the Southwest Pacific islands, it is commonly grown in gardens.
Water: The best way to check if Polyscias Scutellaria is ready for water is by checking the first two inches of the soil with your finger. Check the soil twice a week and only water when the soil is dry.
Light: Polyscias Fabian thrives in bright, indirect light. Place your plant near a window with filtered sunlight, where it can receive several hours of gentle morning or afternoon sun. Avoid exposing it to direct sunlight, as it can scorch the leaves
Basic Care: Direct sunlight can cause leaf scorching, so it is best to avoid exposing the plant to direct sunlight. Shield aralia prefers evenly moist soil, but not soggy or waterlogged conditions. Fertilization is also important for Polyscias Scutellaria. It is recommended to use a liquid Fertilizer once a month during the spring and summer, reducing the frequency during the fall and winter.
